The Student Transition Enrichment Program is a 6week program designed to help disadvantaged (disabilities, poverty, homeless, broken home) high school students transition from high school to the workforce.
Students will learn the very basic requirements for obtaining and maintaining meaningful employment. They will also learn how to become their own advocate without having to depend on the school system and/or their guardian to communicate their needs. Each work project is designed to give the students the opportunity to plan, design, delegate and supervise. They will learn the valuable aspects of respect, punctuality, responsibility and integrity. We seek sponsorships for each project as well as each student. We also seek mentors for each of these sessions.
